FAQs
Q. My child enjoys drawing and sketching but has no formal training, Is he a candidate for lessons?
A. Yes, each student will have hands-on instruction to enhance their artistic ability. Starting with the basics: learning contour line drawing of an object, creating shadows and dimension using light and dark and developing composition.
Q. I love to draw but i need my artwork to look more realistic, what can you teach me?
A. There are fundamental skills taught to create realistic drawings. Such as shape observations and relationships, using the proper tools to create dimension, and the use of positive and negative space to create a sense of balance and a more interesting art piece.
Q. I enjoy drawing and I am looking for an outlet to help me relax and have fun. Do you have a class?
A. Classes are designed to learn and create in a relaxing and enjoyable environment. You can enroll in a class and experiment with different mediums and techniques.
Q. What will I need for my first class?
A. Besides the supply list (pencils - 6B, 4B, 2B, B, HB, 2H; kneaded eraser; white rubber eraser; 9x12 sketch pad) you could bring a few drawings you have or are working on. These supplies are available to purchase at Studio19.
